The New Generation Academy Robotics Maker’s Lab is a GIZ-supported, MINICT-partnered innovation hub in Kigali that provides hands-on STEM education in coding and robotics for Rwandan students and teachers. Officially inaugurated in November 2024, the lab is equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, and VR headsets, serving up to 25 learners per session and accessible to schools across Kigali during regular hours and holidays. It supports Rwanda’s national robotics program by bridging the technology gap and building 21st-century digital skills aligned with the competence-based curriculum.

The transfer lab was a specialized facility at the Digital Transformation Center Rwanda where people could build embedded systems, IoT, VR/AR and work on hardware prototypes.
