Blood Bank Management System
The National Center for Blood Transfusion (NCBT) is responsible for the collection, processing, testing, storage and distribution of blood in Rwanda. In other words, it is based on a decentralized system that provides blood to patients in the shortest possible time. However, NCBT has a challenge of tracking all its processes in real time. Therefore, the Blood Bank Management System is designed to digitize the blood management value chain under MOH to track (Hemovigilance), label and improve blood management and sourcing. Eventually, all this data will increase and improve efficiency of hemovigilance in Rwanda reducing the risk of deaths.
